1. Definitions

For purposes of these Terms and Conditions:

  • "vantagetwgo," "we," "us," "our" refers to vantagetwgo luxury car rental service operating in Taiwan
  • "Client," "you," "your" refers to the individual or entity renting a vehicle from vantagetwgo
  • "Vehicle" refers to the automobile provided under a rental agreement
  • "Rental Period" refers to the duration specified in the rental agreement from pickup to return
  • "Services" refers to vehicle rental and associated support services provided by vantagetwgo

2. Acceptance of Terms

By reserving, renting, or using a vehicle from vantagetwgo, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and vantagetwgo.

If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms and Conditions, you should not proceed with a rental reservation or utilize our services.

3. Eligibility Requirements

To rent a vehicle from vantagetwgo, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age (25 years for certain vehicle categories)
  • Hold a valid driver's license issued by your country of residence
  • Possess an International Driving Permit if your license is not in English or Mandarin
  • Present a valid passport or government-issued identification
  • Provide a credit card in your name for payment and security deposit
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding rental agreement

vantagetwgo reserves the right to verify eligibility requirements and decline rental requests that do not meet these criteria.

4. Reservation and Payment

4.1 Reservation Process

Reservations can be made through our website contact form or by direct communication with our team. All reservations are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation by vantagetwgo.

4.2 Payment Terms

Payment is required at the time of vehicle pickup unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods include major credit cards issued by recognized financial institutions. A security deposit will be authorized on your credit card at pickup and released following vehicle return and inspection.

4.3 Pricing and Fees

All quoted prices are in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$) and include comprehensive insurance and basic equipment. Additional services such as extended rental periods, multi-city returns, or chauffeur services are priced separately and clearly communicated at reservation.

4.4 Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before scheduled pickup receive full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to administrative fees. No-show without notification results in full charge for the first rental day.

5. Vehicle Use and Driver Responsibilities

5.1 Permitted Use

The vehicle may be operated only by the authorized driver(s) listed on the rental agreement. You agree to:

  • Operate the vehicle in accordance with Taiwan traffic laws and regulations
  • Maintain the vehicle in good condition during the rental period
  • Use appropriate fuel types specified in vehicle documentation
  • Keep the vehicle locked and secured when unattended
  • Report any accidents, damage, or mechanical issues immediately

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You must not:

  • Allow unauthorized persons to operate the vehicle
  • Use the vehicle for illegal activities or commercial purposes without authorization
  • Operate the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances
  • Transport hazardous materials or illegal goods
  • Participate in racing, off-road driving, or other high-risk activities
  • Smoke inside the vehicle
  • Transport pets without prior written authorization

5.3 Geographic Restrictions

Vehicles must remain within Taiwan during the rental period. International travel or ferry transport requires prior written approval and may be subject to additional insurance requirements.

6. Insurance and Liability

6.1 Included Coverage

All rental packages include comprehensive insurance providing:

  • Collision damage waiver with specified deductible
  • Third-party liability coverage meeting Taiwan legal requirements
  • Theft protection and vandalism coverage

6.2 Client Responsibility

You remain responsible for deductible amounts specified in the rental agreement. Insurance coverage may be voided if damage or loss results from prohibited activities, unauthorized drivers, or violation of these terms.

6.3 Accident Procedures

In the event of an accident, you must immediately contact local authorities and our 24-hour support line. Failure to file proper accident reports or cooperate with insurance claim procedures may result in denial of coverage.

7. Vehicle Return and Condition

7.1 Return Requirements

Vehicles must be returned to the agreed location on or before the scheduled return time. Late returns may incur additional daily charges. The vehicle should be returned in the same condition as received, allowing for normal wear and tear.

7.2 Fuel Policy

Vehicles are provided with full fuel tanks and should be returned with full tanks. Failure to refuel will result in refueling charges plus administrative fees.

7.3 Inspection and Damage Assessment

Upon return, vehicles undergo inspection for damage, cleanliness, and fuel level. Clients are responsible for costs of repairing damage beyond normal wear and tear, professional cleaning if required, and missing equipment or accessories.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Taiwan law:

  • vantagetwgo's total liability for any claim arising from vehicle rental shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific rental period
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are not responsible for personal property left in vehicles
  • We do not guarantee specific vehicle models; reservations are for vehicle categories with comparable substitutions at our discretion
  • We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or service interruptions due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless vantagetwgo, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the rented vehicle
  • Violation of these Terms and Conditions
  • Violation of Taiwan traffic laws or regulations
  • Third-party claims resulting from your operation of the vehicle
  • Unauthorized use of the vehicle by persons you permitted to drive

10. Termination of Rental

vantagetwgo reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement and reclaim the vehicle without refund if:

  • The vehicle is used in violation of these Terms and Conditions
  • You provide false or misleading information during reservation or pickup
  • The vehicle is abandoned or used for illegal activities
  • Payment authorization fails or credit card charges are disputed
  • The vehicle is not returned by the agreed time and attempts to contact you are unsuccessful

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Taiwan. Any disputes arising from rental agreements shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Taiwan courts.

11.2 Dispute Resolution Process

In the event of a dispute, we encourage resolution through direct communication with our customer service team. If informal resolution is unsuccessful, disputes may be escalated through appropriate legal channels in Taiwan.

12. Modifications to Terms

vantagetwgo reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after modifications constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

Significant changes will be communicated through email notification to clients with active reservations. Terms in effect at the time of reservation govern that specific rental agreement.

13. General Provisions

13.1 Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13.2 Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it in the future.

13.3 Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with the rental agreement and any additional service agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and vantagetwgo regarding vehicle rental services.

13.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under the rental agreement without our prior written consent. vantagetwgo may assign its rights and obligations to a successor entity in the event of business transfer.
